Physician Directory
The Physician Directory lists all general practitioners and specialists
currently licensed to practice medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador. It also includes residents who are enrolled in postgraduate training in the Faculty
of Medicine at Memorial University and who hold a
modified provisional license. Medical practitioners who have retired or
who are no longer practicing in Newfoundland and Labrador are not
listed.
The
directory is updated weekly, usually on Friday, although it may be updated more
frequently, if required.
The information in the directory is taken from the College's registers. Information is typically obtained during initial registration or during annual license renewal. The College makes every effort to ensure this information is up-to-date however, physicians are responsible for
informing the College when there is a
change in their practice information. The College updates the directory when
new information is received.
Listing in the directory does not mean that a physician is accepting new
patients. Specialists typically require a referral from a family physician for
an appointment.
